During a typical mushroom hunt, we will collect all the choice edible mushrooms for you and share how to identify them safely beyond doubt and how to process and prepare them to be able to cook an enjoyable meal.
We will also talk about mushroom ecology, which helps tremendously finding the right locations for future collections. In addition, we will learn about these strange organisms and their lifestyles. We will identify our most common forest trees, since recognizing hemlocks, Douglas firs, alders etc. is crucial to find our best mushrooms. Furthermore, I can send you a list of the relevant common and scientific mushroom names we encountered during the foray which will help you for future reference. We usually find at least 3 to 5 good edible species.  More information: mushroaming.com
