Prestigious Private Elementary School seeking French Language teacher for Kindergarten through 5th grade level students.
- Position is part-time, weekdays
- Begins Wednesday, Sept. 3 or the week of August 25 for In-Service classroom prep time.
The French program at Cougar Mountain Academy offers a primarily oral approach. Students begin with listening and comprehension. Classes are conducted in French and complete sentences are used. Students show understanding through physical activities and games.
The goal of the French Language Program at The Academy is basic personal communication skills utilizing everyday situational language.
The emphasis on a stress-free learning environment will encourage students to enjoy speaking a foreign language. The geography, history and culture of France are presented through discussions, power point presentations, DVD’s and books (textbooks.)
